Despite negative online reviews of people saying Jim Johnsen took money and didn't do the work, I wanted to give him a chance based on a couple positive references and an appealing price tag. I've had a contractor run off with my money before. So I now know that IL law states a contractor can only ask for 10% deposit. Jim Johnsen wanted 66% before any work was done! When I asked him to revise the contract to a 10%, he said we shouldn't do business together and claimed that wasn't the law. This guy has also changed company names, but claims he was just a sales guy at the other company. He is full of lies and excuses. Don't believe a word out of this man's mouth.
