Be careful when you bring an item in to be packaged. Ask for an estimate up front. I brought in a fragile item (it weighed no more than two pounds) to be packaged and shipped. By the time it was over, JUST THE PACKAGING amounted to $45. SO, I decided to take it to USPS because I could not tell them if the military base to which I was sending the package accepted UPS. They knew the address up front, so could have asked me that question prior to the packaging. The package had been made so big, it would have cost $108 via USPS because of the oversize. I repacked it myself and halved the cost. GET AN ESTIMATE BEFORE THE PACKAGING IS STARTED.
