I was in Arkansas on business and just outside or Romance, AR my truck lost power and began to run extremely hot. I limped into a small repair shop not knowing what to expect. Within minutes the problem was diagnosed as a broken water pump. I explained that my hotel was over 40 miles away and that I needed to get home within the next day or so. The young man who was taking care of the truck actually gave me a ride to the hotel, would not accept any money for his trouble, and was as nice a person as you want to spend a forty minute ride with. Meanwhile, his father was taking out the damaged parts and preparing the vehicle for the new water pump the next morning. I used Uber to get back to the shop the next morning around 10. The estimate was noon or maybe after but as I arrived they were clearing the code from the computer and warming the engine up to remove any trapped air and to ensure they had it ready for the 500 mile drive back to Texas. The bill was not anywhere near where I thought it could lead to. There was no attempt to upsell. Basically, I was treated like I would have treated someone if they came to me with an issue like this. Vic and Corey are a credit to American small business as well as their town and the State of Arkansas. Great job guys!
