I don't believe any of these negative reviews and I've read these reviews before I even put my daughter in their care...if any of this was happening my daughter would tell me....it's sad that grown adults have to stoop so low to try and tarnish Darlenes 30 year reputation. My daughter attends this incredible childcare and preschool, and I truly cannot express how thankful we are to have found it! The setup is brilliant-with two houses next to each other, one dedicated to the littles and the other for preschoolers. This thoughtful arrangement helps kids transition seamlessly as they grow, and the staff even supports potty training, making the process so much easier for parents. The care and dedication here are unmatched. The staff is warm, attentive, and truly invested in every child's well-being and development. They go above and beyond by providing home-cooked meals and snacks, supplying diapers, buying gifts for birthday/Christmas and more......darlene is great about keeping parents informed with weekly newsletters and menus.....and quarterly calls to check in on how things are going. It's clear that communication and partnership with families are priorities here, and as a parent, that means so much. The children are constantly engaged in enriching activities-from learning time and creative crafts to outdoor play and fun field trips. Darlene, the owner, is dedicated to not only creating a nurturing environment but also following all state and local laws, which is so commendable. With over 30 years of experience, her leadership is reflected in every detail of this program. Not only that but she really loves her kids there, it's really something quite special. Since starting here, my daughter has grown tremendously. She has become more polite, learned to control her emotions, and developed amazing social skills while learning how to play with other kids. sometimes my daughter will do things or say things that blow my mind and I'll say how do you know how to do that and she'll say from preschool haha. She absolutely loves going, and seeing her excitement every day is such a joy for us. If you're looking for a childcare and preschool that feels like a second home while also offering structure, education, and heartfelt care, this is the place. We couldn't imagine a better environment for our daughter to thrive!

This is the most amazing day care I have ever been to. I have my youngest son in Little Darlings, my 2 other children are much older and went to a center. I do not agree with what Cynthia Failla has to say. I overheard Darlene try to talk to Cyndy on several occasions and Cyndy would blown her off. I myself can not stand Cynthia, drama queen. One minute she would say what wonderful caregivers Darlene and her staff are and the next minute she was mad because someone couldn't "rock her son" during the entire rest times or I can't believe they won't let him have his passy when he's 2. I don't want my son picking up his passy when her son drops it. It was always all about her son, she didn't care about any of the other children. I and several other parents were so glad when Darlene asked her to leave. If anyone couldn't follow rules it was Cyndy. I heard her tell other parents that she was going to do things her way and not listen to what Darlene would ask us to do. And as far as putting her son at risk. I heard Darlene ask several times for a complete list of what her son was allergic to, and Cyndy would blow her off. When her son did have an allergic reaction it was from the formula that Cyndy provided, she had never given it to him before. The next day she said "I guess he can't have that formula, hahaha" What mom laughs about her son being allergic to formula. She was the one who put her sons life at risk, not Darlene. I am just so thankful for Darlene.

As a first time mother it can be overwhelming finding child care. My friend Niki referred me to Darlene Thompson. As a Research Consultant I like to research all the facts before I make my decisions. I met with Darlene and found her to be pleasant and quite knowledgeable in her field. I asked her about the situation below and she was sad the way things turned out. She had terminated care for a child due to what she felt was lack of communication with the parent. I called CCD and was able to discuss the complaint. The infant had an allergic reaction to the formula which the parent supplied. Darlene failed to contact CCD and report it. I didn’t realize that CCD classifies an allergic reaction as an injury, they do not have a detailed definition for injury. I personally feel the parent was neglectful in sending formula to day care without first trying it out. I also learned from CCD that Darlene has been in business for 23 years and is required to take a minimum of 15 hours of continuous education, most of which is in infant and toddler development. Do the math. As far as the rest, visit Darlene and call CCD before making your decision. I look forward to having my baby attend Little Darlings in April.
