This place is really named BASIC FOODS. I agree with shopping at the local independents however when you walk out of there feeling robbed due to the high prices I recommend going into Walmart and costco just a few miles north in Salinas. Twice the product for half the price. The produce was not fresh, garlic was so old it was growing and for being in the Gilroy area garlic location of CA you would expect at least fresh garlic. I would not recommend shopping there.
