Featuring La Salle County History including Native American, Lincoln, I & M Canal and more. Museum complex includes main museum housed in an 1848 canal warehouse, an 1865 One-room school, an 1875 post-and beam barn containing agriculture displays, and an 1892 blacksmith shop. Main fundraising event is the Burgoo Festival, hosted by La Salle County Historical Society since 1969, featuring Burgoo pioneer stew, crafts and music. It is held annually the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend.
