My experience at Northshore was one of the most rewarding opportunities of my adult life.As a single mother, I was able to go to school once a week and still be able to work a full-time job and be there for my daughter. It’s absolutely one of the best decisions I’ve made.
The instructors there are very focused on teaching every student equally and making
sure no one is left behind. They push you to succeed in their program and give you the toolsand knowledge of how the dental field is run. They are very accepting of students who learn differently. For example, they let you use voice recorders to record all lectures, and they make sure everyone is very hands-on with Digita; X-ray methods. We were able to work on classmates to get the feel for what it’s like to have a patient in your chair, and the staff even helps you write a good résumé to help you find a job that fits you.
After successfully completing the program, I was very fortunate to become a part of a
wonderful team at New32. I enjoy my job very much, and one of the great things aboutbeing a dental assistant is the hours; many offices work four days a week, which allows me to have time with my family and still bring in a great income.
