Spent twenty years on the buy side. I know how most funds operate, what they say versus what they do, and where the gaps usually are. Apex is smaller than what I was used to managing, but the discipline is there. Fiduciary standard is applied, not just mentioned. The quantitative approach to rebalancing is sensible. The diligence process was thorough on both sides, which I respected. They asked good questions about my existing portfolio before making any recommendations.
