Mica Hill Dairy was started by Charles Gordon Ashmore an Irish immigrant who settled here to continue farming practices he learned in Ireland. Raised two children on farm and ran a successful dairy until WW II. The farm continue to thrive with John Ashmore, son, who raised beef cattle until his death in 1997. The work continues on with his children who raise meat goats and hay.
