This clock maker takes no pride in his work, and he is rude if you deign to say that you are unhappy with his work. I purchased an antique cuckoo clock for my husband when I was in Germany, and in the process of having it shipped back the bellows were destroyed and the chains got into the workings of the clock. The owner of the store assured me that he could repair it and gave me a quote for the price as well as a date when I could expect it. It was not ready when he said it would be, only three weeks later. When we first got it back it did not run at all. When my husband called him to complain he was VERY RUDE to my husband. We took the clock back. After getting it back the second time it only just worked (didn't run or cuckoo smoothly) and the birdie did not work. When my husband contacted him again we were told that the birdie could not be repaired and that there was nothing wrong with the clock. My husband has subsequently taken the clock to a different clock maker who said that the setting on the clock was off and that the birdie could indeed be fixed. If you are interested in having your clock worked on by someone who cares about the quality of their work, don't take it to this store.
