Heyes Forest Products began manufacturing lumber in 1970 and saws two and a half million board feet each year of lumber from the North Quabbin region. Lumber is manufactured on a state-of-the-art computer controlled linebar resaw, and the computer-controlled dry kilns have a capacity of 110,000 board feet. Lumber is offered finished into flooring, paneling, and molding, as well as square edge boards for both the wholesale and retail trade. Heyes Forest Products also offers barns, workshops, and storage buildings for your business or personal use, built by us to meet your specifications. Fred Heyes, licensed forester, is committed to long-term management of the forest base, as well as protection of forestlands through conservation restrictions held by the Commonwealth.
