This bar reminds me of the show Cheers. Everyone at the Monopole is highly accommodating and they look out for their patrons. I lost my wallet one day and the bartender recognized me from the photo and held it safely locked away until I returned. They have genuine conversation with their customers and the owner is extremely proactive with the business and always makes the time to meet with people. This building is the oldest on-going establishment in Plattsburgh for a reason.
