Dr G is one of the best Vets in Texas… he’s also one of the most compassionate people I know. Not only will I highly recommend him but I’m sure hundreds more will do the same!
Dr Jim Younghusband, D.C.
I have known Dr G for many years on both a personal and professional basis. I have only see one or perhaps 2 more people who were his equal as a professor, or as a Veterinarian. In all the years I have know him, I have never seen him do anything in an unprofessional, or even an unkind manor.
I looked at the vid., the way the squirrels or rats are put down while not typical, is very humane. They couldn't have passed more quickly if he had given them an injection and I will tell you they never felt any pain. As for putting the snake with problems that had to be euthanized into the freezer, it has LONG been known that freezing to death is one of the most peaceful ways to go, and is FAR MORE HUMANE than the way dogs and cats are put down at the humane society where vacuum is used.
No, this does not change my extremely high opinion of him one bit. He is one of the most compassionate, and professional people I have ever encountered. Someone who will go out of his way for you and your animal. I am privilege to count him as a friend, and will always trust him above any other veterinarian.
Now as for you Nick Allen, and PETA... I am quite sure you have never met Dr Giggleman, because if you had you would understand far more than you seem to. And as to PETA, this in my opinion is an organization who engages in cruel and unprofessional behavior. I have been at dog shows where PETA went around and opened cages releasing dogs that had to be recovered in heavy auto traffic.
Nick Allen
Giggleman was caught on tape smashing squirrels’ heads into a cinderblock, and recommending that people cut off snakes’ heads or “freeze ‘em solid” to kill them, and attempting to kill one squirrel by breaking her neck; he killed another squirrel by injecting the conscious animal directly in the heart—a painful and illegal killing method. Here is the proof: http://youtu.be/930uREb5o4A Also, he has been formally reprimanded based on allegations of dishonorable conduct and fined $2,500 by the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
