Run, don't walk away from this pool builder. Although he might have been good in his day, at 70+ he's become careless and confrontational. He was all puppies and rainbows while the $ was owed but as soon as the final check, he was gone. He insists being paid in full right before the final inspection. RED FLAG. We only did that due to his glowing reviews from 20yrs ago, of building. We had heard no bad reports on him and were going between Bob Herold's All Seasons and Daytona Concrete's Capt. Gordon. Go with Herrold's All Seasons! Our pool is out of square, even after my husband told them it did not look square, he refused to ground pool even after bldg. dept called him. Left our pool finish milky due to no acid washing. Called Diamond Brite Chemists and pool companies know-nothing A-holes. Tried to put a too small salt cell on the pool, left the place a mess, never told us how to work the pump or care for pool/water. When my husband asked, his response"Did you want me to hold your hand?" Brought drunken workers to the point that we were timing to see how long they could last. Fought with his son in ultra-vulgar language. Thankfully, the kids were in school. At the end, he told us for $30,000, he did US a favor by building our pool. Gee thanks Gordon! It cost us extra money to right his wrongs not to mention stress and aggravation. Retire for God's sake! Zero customer service. The only positive thing is that we got a solid shell put in. That is the credit I can give him.
