Gunite, Vinyl, Fiberglass pool installation. Pool Service, openings, closing, weekly service, Pool Remodel experts. Equipment upgrades, Pool repair Hello, my name is Glenn Thorp, Owner of Precision Pool and Aquatics. I began in the swimming pool industry when I was 14 years old. Living in Sarasota, Florida I worked in the pool industry first as a helper, then as a service technician, pool retail sales, and then pool construction and renovation. After attending the University of Florida I decided to open my own company in 1981. After many years of operating my sucessful Florida company, I sold the business. I had a longing to return to my roots and in 1992 moved to Sherman, Connecticut. After working with a design build firm I desired to once again have my own company. I realized the need for a high end pool company that would work with the client, (not take advantage of), and would strive to meet their expectations. In early 1995 Precision Pool and Aquatics was born. Initially my business focused on Pool Service and Renovation. Once my Pool Service client base was established I began offering custom Gunite, Vinyl, and more recently, Viking Fiberglass Pools. My business offers the client a personalized experience.
