Altura Periodontics offers periodontal services in Denver, CO. Have you wondered about the significance of periodontal disease? The skilled periodontists at Altura Periodontics in Denver first reduce and control the bacterial colonies that form under the edge of the gum. From there, they work with the patient to eliminate any known factors that cause the patient to be more susceptible to breakdown. In order to begin the restoration process, the periodontists typically use scaling and root planing to remove any calculus that has formed. That said, patients can be at ease because these procedures are pain-free and yield fantastic results. Postoperatively, Altura schedules regular maintenance appointments to ensure that patients prevent plaque (and the disease) from coming back.
