My husband and I made the TERRIBLE MISTAKE of hiring Southern Home Improvement owned by Greg Oldham to do water restoration work in Apex NC. The entire experience was unprofessional. We had to have our staircase and upstairs carpets professionally cleaned after his crew left our home because while they were tearing out our hardwood floors downstairs (with machinery) they were too lazy to cover anything. Dust was everywhere and they even left our cornice boards and drapes hanging in all that dust!!!!! Our T.V. too, thank God it is still working. My husband had to take down the cornice boards and the drapes himself, albeit after the damage was done! We had to clean up all of that mess ourselves! The paint job is our major complaint. If splotchy walls, roller marks and running paint is in fashion, then we are fashionable! The entire house will have to be repainted. Greg is aware of the problem and stated himself that it would have to be redone but he has no intention of fixing it. Also to note, his leaky trucks left beautiful oil stains all over our driveway and we had to finish taking off the debris that was left. It was an incompetent crew and for someone who boast of being in business for 30 years, it should be an embarrassment.
