After being a faithful customer for years, I was terribly disappointed about the way they handle issues!!! I had a wine spill on an off-white cashmere sweater that I had purchased back in October at Saks. When it was returned, the sweater was yellow! I brought it back to see what had happened and why the color had changed! The owner was incredibly rude, suggested that I was lying, that the sweater was in fact yellow. He first offered to pull out the video for that day that would show the color was yellow, but once I told him I actually had a picture with the sweater that offer was suddenly off the table. Then, once he removed the sweater from the plastic bag it was in, we both noticed a hole in the back (obviously happened during cleaning!). He then accused me of trying to pass an "old" sweater as new!! He rudely swung the sweater around stating that "it must be at least 5 years old and how dare I try to pass it for a new sweater!" Little did he know that I am a good customer of Saks and they have started gathering all the information to prove both color and age! I am not so much upset about the cost of replacement, but definitely furious about the way they handle these situations! Not only have they lost us forever as clients! We will make sure our friends, who are clients of theirs, know exactly the way they handle their business! A disgrace! They will be hearing from me soon!!!
