The directors and staff at Morningstar are great. I would recommend anyone searching for a daycare to check the, out. Both of my girls, 2 years and 10 week old love going. I consider myself to be a very thorough and detailed critic of childcare centers as I worked in a center throughout college, so am intimately aware of the criteria and parameters required of a center and feel confident my child is receiving good care at Morningstar. She has been enrolled since she was three months old (now 16 mos) and has absolutely thrived in their care. Her development is consistently above average, I believe in large part to the structure she receives and the positive learning environment she is exposed to with the other children and teachers. Most encouraging however, is her excitement to go to school. I find it extremely comforting as a parent to see her happy and excited to see her teachers and friends, and not frightened or upset to be left. She spends such a majority of her time through the week with them that should I not feel 100% confident in their abilities I would be unable to leave my child in their care - thus this is a glowing endorsement of their capabilities and our appreciation for all the employees at the center as well!

Well Morningstar gives a parent night out at least once a month to run out after hours to get what you need done without the little ones and just to go have peace of mind without the kids and guess what no extra fee. My husband and I really enjoy this daycare they are open when you need them even on some holidays. We chose this place for our son because it is very convenient location right off of I-65, very clean, very high spirit in the staff, and just a cozy place that we were looking for so that we know our child is cared for everyday while we are working. There is no place we rather be than with Morningstar. So if you are looking for a great place for your child come on over to 53 Leah Lane, Calera, AL 35040.

Everyone shows a genuine concern for each and every child's well-being. The teachers and the curriculum are great. Within a week, my son (3) was able to recognize words and letters. My daughter (1) knows where her eyes, nose, and mouther are. My children are growing by leaps and bounds.

My daughter has been going to Morningstar for almost a year and she has learned so much in her time there. She is eager to tell me that she had a good day when I pick her up and spends the ride home telling me all about it. I feel really good that I made a good decision by choosing this center. …

My daughter has been going to Morningstar for almost a year and she has learned so much in her time there. She is eager to tell me that she had a good day when I pick her up and spends the ride home telling me all about it. I feel really good that I made a good decision by choosing this center. The administration is available to discuss any issues, concerns or special requests that you may have. The teachers are loving, caring and attentive to each child. I especially love that teachers that may not be involved with your child’s care knows them and will greet them in hallway. My child has a list of allergies and everyone is aware of them. It makes me feel that the entire center is there for your child. Once a month, the center does a date night for parents. You can bring your child back to center for a few hours and enjoy some couple time. They also have themed parties around holidays and they plan special events for the kids. Last fall, the center held a festival with inflatables, carnival games and prizes for the whole family. It is the little extras like these that make Morningstar a special place.

I don't have to worry about taking my son to school because I know he is loved by the teachers and staff. When you send your child to school here not only you're getting great child care, your child is learning new things as well. I was so happy when my son was showing me sign language and he's only 20 months old. I would recommend this school to any one that is looking for great care.

When I called to say I was stuck and would be extremely late to pick up my baby, they reassured me that all of the kids were safe and would be well taken care of. They definently go above and beyond to care for each child.

I love how School for Amazing Kids, Calera offer various school events for the children and even parents with Parent’s Night Out. They offer a Sweetheart Ball, pictures with the Easter bunny, visit from Santa, Book Fair, Halloween Trick or Treat, Muffins for Mom on Mother’s day, Donuts with Dad on Father’s Day, Goodies with Grandparents for Grandparent’s Day, and even a graduation ceremony for the ones who are about to transition into Kindergarten which I can’t wait for since they have little caps and gowns and everything. My daughter is only 9 months, so she doesn’t really get to participate in all of the different things they offer, but she has a lot to look forward to. I have even seen where a ballet instructor comes to teach ballet during school hours. I have even seen when they had a space bounce in the play area for the older kids. Although my daughter may not be able to participate in a lot of the school events right now, I love how they are always doing art crafts in her class. She always brings home the cutest little pictures that were designed by the teacher but created by her. It means a lot to know that your little ones are being engaged as well.

My son started morning star at about about 9 months... Now 2, At first my husband and I was a little reluctant to putting him in a daycare especially after having such a bad experience at a home day care....(he broke his collar bone at 7 months) and he was the only baby at the caretaker's home. Now we did tour a few other daycare facilities in the area, but once we stopped at Morningstar we very surprised! None of the other centers came close to what morning star offered. My husband loved the fact that there were cameras monitoring each room, and the security features on the door that allows only a staff member to access you to the kids... That's a big plus! We absolutely LOVE morning star and the staff! As a working parent it's very important for me to place my son in a place where I feel he is safe and I don't have to worry! You can't put a price on that!!! Plus he's learning soooo much! I thought he was a whiz kid, but so are all the other kids in his class:) The teachers do an AMAZING job with the 2 y/o!
