I was in an accident where I fell down a flight of marble stairs. I do not remember the accident only that it happened on May 1, 1995. I was in bed a lot without any thoughts of what was going on. My doctor recommended Dr. Stevenson. He was so patient with me. I kept tell him how I only wanted my old brain back. I thought someone had taken it because I knew this one wasn't like mine. Dr. Stevenson advised me that your brain rechannels the most in the first 5 years. It took four years to convenience me that I had the same brain it just got damaged. Dr. Stevenson never lost patience with me even though my family and friends did. When I realized I only had 1 more year for my brain to finish channeling. Dr. Stevenson would suggest things to keep my brain from straying by using my brain to do things my long term memory remembered. Because I do not have good short term memory. To this day, I still practice keeping my brain active and focused. I know longer think of myself as disabled but someone who has a few limitations. I will never be able to thank Dr. Stevenson enough for the time and effort he spent with me. Not only did he work with my brain while my entire body was in pain, every now and then he caught a glimpse of who I was at one time. If Dr. Stevenson could do what he did for me, I would recommend him to anyone. I have since moved to Texas. I have looked and looked for a Dr. yet to this day, I will come home to Kansas City to see Dr. Stevenson because
