Sells original works of art that are editions in publications unsigned . Somehow he manages to have the works signed by the artist. Tells you a great line about how the artist signed the work while on a visit to the US . So you figure you're getting a hell of a deal and buy the piece. Then latter, down the road in time, years later after you show the print around and some of your more educated , less gullible and more art savvy friends inform you gently that the signature is probably not authentic.You do some research of your own and son of a gun if your buddies are correct. And you look at the COA Neal shipped with the work and it just says Complimentary signature. Nothing about "Signed by the Artist" etc as you would find on your other COA from reputable gallery purchases elsewhere.Then you resarch the actual COA issued and it is a : Certificate of Authenticity ,National Arts Guild/ George Kopel . And you find there is no such organization or person. Nothing. Then you go back to Neal, the owner of the Gallery:He says yes , he can't guarantee that the signature is authentic but believes it is!!! and he gives you the opportunity to exchange the work for something else in his gallery. Also most likely overpriced X5. And not verifiable. Do you really want to do business with this smooth talker / Owner. This is what happened to me. Fortunately I only spent ten grand and I do know the litho to be authentic. It is just too bad it bears a complimentary signature that devalues th
