POOR EXPERIENCE!!!!!! We were assured when we made our reservation almost a year ago that the deposit would be refundable if cancelled one month before reservation date. When we called over one month before to confirm our reservation for 4 rooms we were told that one room was not available due to septic problems. There was a series of calls regarding the status on rooms and when it became apparent he would not be able to honor the original commitment we made other reservations. New reservation was not as convenient as we were going to the Kenyon graduation and Red Fox was closer than where we were able to reserve. We definitely cancelled before the one month cutoff. Very unreliable, multiple phone calls to get a return call. Very vague about rooms available. We had no confidence that we would have accommodation promised so cancelled. He had indicated he would do a refund if he rented the rooms (was septic fixed to rent?). To date there has been no refund. AMEX would not accept a dispute as we had made the reservation so long ago and this is a "small" vendor. Does not make sense as this is the type of merchant you need protection from.
