LOVE this little (but actually quite lareg one you get inside!) "hole in the wall" gem of a store. I was trying to find their website, unfortunately, so far, no go. I did find out, though (here) that it was opened in 1974, which sounds about right as I "discovered" thenm around 1985 or 1986? Have been a customer ever since! When I lived down there it was weekly... now that I live a couple hours away... more like once or twice a year. They have GREAT selections. I am especially partial to the Attiki (Greek brand) of Honey, the Tilda Basmatti rice, the Ship (brand) Mango pickle (from Iraq) and their breads and fresh foodstuffs are all great too. It's a mainly family run business and the people are great to answer whatever questions they can, where things are in the store, which brands they think are the best (it's rarely the most expensive one either! But occasionally... it happens... and they are right! on All accounts as I've adventured to other brands when I couldn't get there... and was disappointed everyy time (so far... maybe I should just get there more often, despite the trip, huh?) Check out their breads and Tahini and hummus too! Can't believe no one has reviewed them here! Get over to the University area and check them out! You'll be glad you did!
