Patricia Murphy had confidentiality problems with all her patients. She put herself up to be a professional, competent psychologist who was on the State Psych Board until they found out she did not respect confidentiality. She has been sued once and lawsuits are lined up against her now. She got a thrill, had a compulsive urge to lure pts to trust her and then see how far she could step out of line until she finally got caught. She loved the thrill of lying to pts, talking to other pts about her pts. And she set traps for her own colleagues by calling them and talking about pts---unknowingly to the pt---until she got caught. She shared info with co-owner Mike Urban and that is suable. She was cold and calculating and would lie to pts face and say no one would ever find out what pt said in her room, which legally had to stay there, then immediately get on the phone or share with the next pt what had been said. The stress she caused, the lies she told, the pure exhileration she felt when she pulled off her "TRUST ME--IT's OK--YOU CAN TELL ME" and then the excitement, the audacity, the flagrant misuse of her knowledge was what she was all about. She thrived on the rush it gave her---and put lots of money in her pocket---which is a good thing because now she will have to pay the people she lied to, the people who had their confidentiality breached, as well as the legal fees she caused other drs to incur by pretending she had a release and getting them sued. SICK! DISGUSTING!

I had a horrible experience and so have many others. Melinda Finch Bussa (still employed as office help) gave out every patient's information for 18 months because she was not properly trained, as stated by Pat Murphy. She pulled charts and gave out patient's name, employer, and anything else she pleased to people that called. When she was caught, Pat Murphy said she had operated that way for 20 years, so now that make 34 years of unethical, illegal, breaches of confidentiality. Pat Murphy shrugged her shoulders and said, "I know things get out.." and is being sued and the Indiana Attorney Generals office is investigating her as well as Urban and Mike Murphy. If you have ever been a patient, go to attorney gen website and file a complaint against them. Then go to the Patient Compensation Fund and file for 555,000 dollars of compensation you deserve. She admitted her breaches, told Urban and her husband everyone's intimate info and called people to discuss patients. She broke laws and your money is available. She is getting old, so act now. When you are in court, ask her about Kathleen Murphy and what she did to Kathleen and Mike Murphy's marriage. She broke up their marriage and got him to take on her two kids by another marriage so she could have him pay for her Psy.D. Then she provided marriage counseling to others........ask her if she shared her strategies for getting a free ride, having everything she wanted, and now rolling in bucks from her antics!
