Metropolitan String Quartet was formed in 1986 in Omaha, Nebraska, and continues to be one of the area's busiest chamber music groups. The quartet has performed many concerts in the Midwest, and is also a touring group for the Nebraska Arts Council. Metropolitan String Quartet was formed in 1986 in Omaha, Nebraska, and continues to be one of the area's busiest chamber music groups. The quartet has performed many concerts in the Midwest, and is also a touring group for the Nebraska Arts Council. In addition to providing music for many celebrations such as weddings and receptions, the group has played for President Bill Clinton, former First Ladies Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton, and many other dignitaries. Metropolitan String Quartet was voted the 2008 & 2009 winner in the Wedding Music category for KETV's A-list contest. The quartet is a charter member of the Midwest Bridal Association.
