Every good parent wants the best for their kids, Lori exceeds The Best! My wife and I have loved watching how great Addy has been developing in such a short time. Lori is more than a daycare, she is where learning and interacting starts. Our next child will be a Kiddly Winks kid.

I am the owner of Kiddley Winks Daycare & Preschool.
In response to the review by A Ellis:
As a welcoming daycare facility, I adhere and support statute 363A.08; as my daycare families are diverse.
Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are served at our facility. Families can provide food from home but are not asked to.
In this situation, the family did not work out per our contract- which was signed by both parties. The last conversation that I had with the individual was very cordial and utilizing my care for backup daycare was also discussed.
In response to Brenna Maus:
This child began daycare here in May of 2016. The family began with a trial period- per written contract- which was signed by both parties. Resources were exhausted trying to work with the child and the parents. The child was throwing violent tantrums, crying persistently, and experiencing severe separation anxiety. When the parents were asked to a meeting to discuss the situation, the parents responded with, “We are too busy this week.”
The parents also asked to go against licensing rules regarding safe sleeping and eating practices. They tried to convince me to keep the child in my care even though there was no progress or resolution. During the two weeks that the child attended daycare at my facility, clients expressed their concerns about this child’s behavior and how it was negatively influencing their children. I was left with no other option than to politely give them notice of termination.

Pros:
1. rates are competitive, although the owner should be upfront about the fact that she has limited hours compared to other daycare centers and does not participate in the USDA food program, and thus prefers that parents bring their children breakfast.
2. If you’re looking for a smaller setting for your children, Kiddley winks provides that and is a welcoming home environment.
Cons:
1: inconsistent policies and procedures - the owner/director has a contract that is signed upon enrollment. Hours of operation, meal offerings and vacation days were changed subjectively by owner to accommodate her needs and personal schedule. This led to uncomfortable conversations that could have been avoided.
2. My child was bullied by another child and I am not sure it was properly acknowledged. The owner/director was transparent if an incident occurred, but my child began telling me daily that he was being hit or kicked by another child—even on days when the center was closed.
3. Unprofessionalism of owner/director. Several disparaging remakes were made in my presence and to me about other parents and Muslim people, including stereotypes about their driving. I am not Muslim, but informed the provider of dietary restrictions consistent with the Islamic faith, as my father is. I was subsequently asked if my father “hated white people and thought they should all be killed, as it says in the Quran”. I informed the provider that the Quran does not say that.
