We used Hammers on Oct. 31st 2015 to move a 2 bedroom apartment and "1 bedroom" storage unit (storage unit did not contain living room furniture, kitchen furniture, or bedroom furniture. In short, lots of boxes). We were verbally quoted 4-6 hours. We asked for visual estimation and were told it was not necessary. They arrived at 9am and did not leave until 7:30pm. 10.5 hours. Double the quoted price. Along the way they broke a few things, one of the movers was smoking while moving our things and they laid the kitchen table in the middle of the floor and i tripped and fell onto it hurting myself. We have reached out to Hammers who told us it just took longer than expected. That we did not tell of the "3rd floor" (an attic space that contained 4 boxes and a small printer) and additional stop to empty a studio apartment. We did tell of the 3rd stop and it took 15 minutes to load. I would never recommend this company in a million years. DO NOT USE! We moved these exact same places ourselves 1 year ago and the 2 bedroom apartment was moved - out of old place and into new place - by 5 people in 4 hours. Total. DO NOT USE! There goes my kids Christmas presents.
