St. Clare School dinner auction was held 10/15/16. Used for 14 yrs. Ben was well aware of type of event/importance. VERY disappointed in the service at time of the event and product delivered. Arrival for set-up was to be 5-5:30 p.m., dinner at 6. No attempt made to let us know they were running late. By the time they finally arrived & got food set up it was over an hour late. Food had obviously been prepared & sat, wasn't freshly made. Chicken was dry, prime rib "okay", & sides (pasta con broccoli, sour cream potatoes, & green beans) were sub-par. WE RAN OUT OF FOOD! There were roughly 40-50+ who went w/o some or ALL of the sides. There were rolls & extra "tossed salad" - lettuce dumped in a tray but ran out of salad dressing! Ice cream was melted & brownies were dry. Worker knew of our disgust/displeasure that night, but Ben didn't contact me until 2 days later-that was due to me not paying night of event. After being questioned about the way the food was served, instead of being apologized to for horrible experience, Ben stated responsibility for food being late & offered us $200. Took no responsibility for shortage of food, except HE had prepared it. Tried to blame us for serving more people, & accused patrons of taking too much food (neither true). Our event was built around a time schedule & food was ordered for 163 people (only served 158). The late arrival + low-quality/no food put a huge damper on our event & night's profits. NEVER recommend Jim's Country Catering
