We live in the Dulles Airport corridor but stock up on spirits from Calvert Woodley because of the savings. We've shopped there many times but never had a negative experience. They admirably implemented safe practices during the pandemic.

I've been buying wine, liquor and cheese at C-W for decades. I live in Montgomery County, so it's at least a half hour drive to the store, easily worth it. The wine selection is great; because of C-W, we serve good French wine as our everyday wines for less than $15 a bottle. Their weekly specials are particularly good bargains. I also like their in-depth selections of cognacs and single-malt Scotch, where their competitive pricing is a big help. The employees are knowledgeable and happy to help you with a selection; in fact, most of our everyday wines were recommended by C-W employees. The service attitude continues through the cashiers, the people who will carry your purchases to the car, and even the man in the parking lot, who is always cheerful.
