Mongell Tire was founded in 1957 in Connellsville, PA by Dominic Mongell along with his father, Anthony Mongell, and brother, Paul Mongell. In 1963 a second store was opened and Dom's brother Paul started working full time at the store. In the late 1970's Paul's son Jim joined the company. 10 years later Jim's brother Brian joined the family business.
