I am very impressed with the services to clients from placeone. This company seems to stay a step ahead of the competition and in my opinion is the number one agency in wa state. However i am very disappointed with the way some of the staff are treated. Harrassment and intimidation by admin and team leads are a sad part of this company.

Yes great client care................only because clients are revenue and they are closely monitored by the state. If this company was really compassionate and actually wanted to help people they would treat their employees better or at least try and keep them safe. (Ever been punched in the face by a 180lb, pissed off retard?) Common sense; don’t put a 110 pound girl in with a 180 pound violent male! Actually to be fair most all of the clients are violent. Still there were other options. Everything good in this company is a facade that keeps the houses staffed and money coming in. Make no mistake this is a multi-million dollar company and the employees are treated worse than second class citizens and paid as such. The bonuses are a joke and an effective way of controlling the employees through (you guessed it) subtle threats and intimidation tactics.

Good Intentions. Especially the direct service staff. NO ONE would work for this company if they didn't care about the clients. Some of their people are amazing with the clients. Unfortunately, very few people who are skilled, have healthy boundaries, good communications skills, and who you would really want to have working with your loved ones will put up with the management and general lack of support . I don't want to trash on them.... I tried to make it work. I miss my guys. I hope the best for them and everyone involved for their sake. My belief is that this company has outgrown the managements ability to run it according to their stated values (to my knowledge none of the admin staff had solid -or any- background in management or administration). The Road To Hell is paved with Good Intentions.

Subtle threats............. I will second the persons comment above. As a former employee I was constantly harassed and threatened by Admin which in turn was backed up by my team leader. I worked in several houses and this happened in all of them. They subtly threaten you if not blatantly set you up. If you are a rule follower DO NOT work here. When you mandatorily report wrong doing or abuse, it is not anonymous in any way and most of the time it is spread throughout the entire company, and the employee that you reported abuse on is informed of your actions and is free to retaliate against you (this includes being set up)and no one does anything. You are not allowed to make copies of anything including your own time sheet, when there is an inevitable error you have no argument. First you will get the run around. Then you will have to pay $10.25 for a copy of your own time sheet, which has been altered and they mysteriously don’t know how, even though there’s an obvious handwriting change. This also goes for allegations. If something goes wrong YOU as the employee are the first they go after. You are not allowed to defend yourself in anyway and will sue you for breach of confidentiality or (at least threaten to) if you do.

When a client is in severe crisis and is literally attacking or molesting you or both, don’t expect any help. When help finally arrives (days later) it is only provided to the "favorite" employees which are usually the "compliant" Tl’s. If a client has you pinned down and is kicking you in the face, in the street, no one is available. But when the client’s safety is compromised the cavalry comes running over. (YOU CANNOT PROTECT A VULNERABLE CLIENT IF YOU ARE UNCONSCIENSS) Also, other shifts are left to fend for themselves and paid drastically different. Grave makes $4 less an hour but is required to do all shifts including days by themselves. They call grave hours "non-waking" hours and pay the lower wage because of this regardless of how much time is spent with the client. No client sleeps through the night and graves pay stays the same. If there is an emergency and one of the houses is required to be double staffed. They unashamedly tell you that every hour your house is double staffed it comes out of your bonus! Why is it my fault a client went bonkers and is attacking his staff and roommates? We are required by law and moral ethics to keep clients safe but as soon as we cannot and plead for help, the extra cost is used as leverage and is ultimately taken out of our pockets. For the record I was not fired. I quit after 5 years of hoping for changes.
