We have always enjoyed the food service and baked deserts. As a child, my father would bring me to Dick's for pie. But as of this evening @ 8:30PM,My husband and I (who live within walking distance) will never return. It is Sunday eveniing and the diner stays open until 10PM. We had just come from a heartfelt evening @ Hart's Funeral Home. But, when we arrived @ Dick's a waitress(who we did not know and who had never served us) greeted us with such a disgusted face, roll of the eyes, and a sigh that could wake up an entire theater. I looked at the dark (straight) haired young women in the forfrount of the diner. She stated: "She'll get over it." But, we left ASAP. If we would upset a waitress that we did not even know to act that way, it wasn't worth staying. All we wanted was a cup of coffee and a small item of food to discuss losing someone dear to us. As my husband and I discussed, why not close @ 8:30 if all you want to do is clean up. Why tell customers you are open to 10PM, if you are not. J&J
