It was a cold snowy Christmas Eve 40+ years ago. A young mother only wanting the best for her child’s Christmas found she ran out of oil. About to close for the night, she called Eric’s on south 52nd st to see if they were still delivering. They were about to close but hearing a child in the background, the lady on the phone asked what I needed. Explaining through tears of a cold Christmas, she said she would wait for me to come into office, pay and receive some oil. I’m almost 70 years old but every Christmas I think of her kindness and my blessing. Thank you Eric’s for the reminder of little things and kindness. It was the greatest gift.
