Just had a very disappointing experience with Abbott Glass. Had them repair my patio screen door last summer. This spring I noticed that the screen was pulling away from the frame so I called them. They're response? Bring it in. I took it off, took it in and they did a quick 15 second job to fix the edge. When I got back home, I was unable to get the screen back into the door. I called to see if someone could swing by while on another job and replace the screen (30 seconds). Informed I needed to adjust the screws (what screws?) and if they came by it would be a regular service call of $32.50. Sorry, but this is not what I would call customer service.

My name is Amber Davis and I am the service represenative for Abbott Glass and I would like to post a rebutal to "Kathy Mitchelldyer's" negative post. First off, I have no Kathy Mitchelldyer in my system and I have records of all customers from January 1st 2006. Second, this woman claims she "had" to bring her door in, I told her that if she could bring it in I could get it done much faster, in other words I gave her an option. Third "Kathy" failed to mention that I fixed her door for FREE. I guess she felt that installing the door should be free too. We do not provide free installs on any job, the reason they are called JOBS is because you get paid to do them. And our servise calls happen to be 65.00 but I offered it to her at half price. So lets sum this up, I fixed her door very quickly, for free, and offered her a large discount to put the door in her home.... And my customer service is bad? This woman was able to get her door off the track but couldn't put it back on. Yet she said it would have been an easy 30 second job..... If it was so easy she could have done it herself. I am sorry if I upset you Kathy by not doing the ENITRE job for free but fuel and the time to send my guys to your house costs me money. I would like to know if you have any other company who would install their products or provide their services for FREE. Perhaps "Kathy Mitchelldyer" should spend a day doing what she does for a living for free and see if it makes any sense.
