had a quote of $450 for lower unit service here in the austin area. thursday evening the wife decided we could hit palacios on the weekend. bernie's fit me in on saturday morning on the way to the coast. $450? here's what bernie's did: lower unit service, changed oil & filter on motor, replaced fuel filter and repurged fuel system, replaced trailer light, greased wheel bearings, replaced dolly jack (broken tooth)...$340!!!!!!!!!! i will ALWAYS get my work done at bernie's! yeah, it's 2 hours to get there, but i'm going in that direction anyway! plus you can drop the boat off and drive a mile up the road and hang at academy looking at fishing stuff while you wait! and golden corral across the street for breakfast buffet.....paradise!
