I called in to cancel and was told I could not do so - it had to be in person. Attempted to come in on a Saturday, they were closed for painting. I am busy, which is why I wanted to cancel, I hadn't had the time to come in for a few months, so they were just profiting off me. I did finally find time to come in and canceled, of course I needed to provide a detailed explanation as to why and they said they'd have to charge me for another month! Apparently, 30 days notice was needed. I can understand why apartments need 30 days, they need to prepare to fix any damages, replace carpet, etc. These guys just wanted another payment, a proper explanation as to why 30 days notice was needed was not provided. It just so happens that due to timing, they charged me an additional annual fee, doubling my last payment. They have taken money out of my account for a good/service that I am unable to receive. This is called stealing, and they have elected to hide behind the fact that they are business. When I spoke to Cody, who claimed to be a General Manager, he said "well, we all have to deal with unwanted fees" and even stated that "due to timing, you got hit with this fee, I guess you are just unlucky." This is not a legal argument, the BBB is my next stop from here.
