I had a bad experience with this company. I pre-ordered an item almost 2 years ago. I call earlier this year to find out about the car and was told it hadn't been made yet. I made sure to ask if someone would notify me when the item was ready to ship, the rep said yes. Well, I get a nasty shock today when I balance my checking account - I find out they have debited my card for $174.90 - without letting me know. I go to the website and go into my account, there's no order number, there's nothing to even allow me to look at the order I was charged $174.90 for! So I couldn't cancel it. I also called NUMEROUS times today during their 10A to 2P operating hours on a Saturday and NOBODY even answers the phone. You get a recording stating "all agents are busy helping other customers please leave a detailed message after the tone..." I left several, I even sent emails to them. Seems like now that they have my money to hell with me! This taught me a very valuable lesson: DO NOT PRE-ORDER ANYTHING FROM MINT MODELS OF LATHAM NEW YORK and most important: NEVER LET A COMPANY HAVE YOUR DEBIT CARD NUMBER AT THEIR DESCRETION! I pre-ordered another car from them a few years ago and I was sent an email when the car arrived so I was aware of the charge. But this time I wasn't ready for a wop like this unexpected - I paid all of my bills yesterday - get this nasty oversight on their part today! The ugly part is the fact there's NO order number on my account to cancel - BEWARE!
