To Corporate Officials of Hometown Buffet, Inc. I grew up in the “Aloha” State, which is renowned for its famous buffets and “Luaus,” and through my extensive travels I have enjoyed some of the great buffets around the world, including the spectacular Las Vegas buffets. But dollar-for-dollar, your Hometown Buffet in Torrance, California under the management of Antonio Venegas is superb for quality and value. The food presentation and freshness of entrée choices at the Torrance Hometown Buffet surpasses Hawaii and Vegas. Over the years, I have frequented most of your Hometown Buffets throughout Southern California, but the Torrance establishment is always the best and I continue to go there at least once a week, even though I live more than 15 miles north in Brentwood. Antonio is always very friendly and smiling and never fails to come up to all tables with samples and to talk with guests. He makes everyone feel comfortable and at home, and the name “hometown” is for real and not over-exaggerated at your Torrance Buffet. In my humble opinion, Torrance is #1 in food quality, food and beverage presentation, cashier service, table service, restroom cleanliness and management hospitality. It is always a consistently rewarding experience at your Torrance restaurant. I hope you know what a valued manager you have in Antonio. I’d sure like for you to open a Hometown Buffet in Brentwood or West Los Angeles with Antonio as the manager. May Robinson Brentwood, CA 90049

Went this moning 9/9/2012 to hometown buffet in Yuma, Az. & it was the worst breakfast we've ever had. The so called HOT food wasn't HOT & the cornbeef hash seems like it wasn't even put into a micro, very cold & tasteless. All in all it was a very bad breakfast & as for our relatives coming in, we certainly won't take them there, but go to GOLDEN CORRAL where they know how to make food. The person who was supposed to be carving the ham just wasn't there. They don't even have apple juice here.

My gentleman friend (83 years old) and I, (75 years old) was eating at the Hometown Buffet (which we do 7 times a week) about two weeks ago - It was a Saturday. My friend pulled the chair on which he was sitting by placing his fingers under the chair to move it in and got two fingers pricked by the staples that hold the backing to the chair had opened up thereby causing 2 fingers to bleed. He just wiped the blood on the lunch napkins and we continued to eat, when it occured to me that the manager should be informed of this defect in the chair. As he, I believe his name is Bob was pasing our table to refill the coffee ure, I said "Excuse me, can I show you something?" I showed him the blood on the napkin and said "My friend injured his fingers moving in the chair". He said "Your not suppose to be handling the chair" and I purposely wrote thes words down to be sure to have his direct quote, and so I said "Well then how should one move in c ahair" and he demonstrated by taking the chair by the top of the back of the chair and moving it in. I then said "while your sitting on it? How is that done?" He copped an attitude and walked away Then he came back and said "let me see the chair" and so my friend got up and showed him the staples that caused the injury. He then pulled the paper backing that had come undone by open staples off the chair and walked away with it never saying a word. I think someone from "Corporate" should contact me; I've got much more to tell you. Miss Maria
