Closer To Home in St, Ignatius turned out to be heaven sent for my mother. She suffered from dementia and when I first moved her to Montana I thought one of the large, resort like, assisted living facilities in Missoula would suit her but it turned out to be the worst choice for someone with dementia. She was easily confused, lost and overlooked by the staff. Closer To Home is small enough and personal enough to attend to a dementia patient in the way that they need it. Cheryl Hitchcock is an angel and I am forever grateful in how she cared for my mother and was there for us when my mother passed. It was a much more personal experience/relationship for all of us with a family feel. Cheryl has had many years of experience in this field and she was able to detect the slightest changes in my mother's behavior. The staff also valued us as a customer and respected all of our wishes.
