hello i'm kermit afflerbach i live inorefield pa, i can't find any thing on best station train station, i know there was a train station, on the south side of best station road,from the best station hotel, the railroad ran, from best station hotel, to the bridge at slatedale, there the train could turn to the left and then go backwards into slatington, this was in the middle of the 1800's, or later i also know that the best hotel was a stage coach stop the barn was used to, change horses, for the stage coach, but the barn is no longer standing, the train also stopped at the grist mill about a mile or so on mill road
