Wanted to post a review and thank Tom and his crew for the terrific work on my recent retaining wall project. I had about 175 feet of old rail ties that were rotting and falling apart and needed to be replaced. This was the first large home renovation project I've tackled, so I was extremely nervous since I know basically nothing about retaining walls. From the very first call, Tom was easy to work with. He listened to my concerns, gave expert advice, and installed exactly what I needed at a fair price. He wasn't pushy and never tried to upsell me on things I didn't want just to make extra money like some other companies do. I was also concerned about preserving my neighbor's fence because the space between the property lines was very tight. Every other company I got quotes from told me it would be impossible to do the install without tearing the fence out and replacing it. Where others saw obstacles, All Type Landscaping found solutions. Tom set clear expectations and timelines, and we worked out a schedule that fit both my busy work/travel schedule and theirs. When the start date came, the crew showed up on time and ready to work. They completed the entire project in about half the time I expected, and I was seriously impressed by the amount of effort everyone put in. The whole crew was professional, courteous, and respectful to me, my neighbors, and each other. One crew member, Brittany, especially stood out as an incredibly hard worker, but the entire team was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend All Type Landscaping for any outdoor, landscaping, or retaining wall project, no matter how big or small.

The retaining wall pictured in All Type Landscaping's profile is the one they created on the property of our newly built home. From the day we moved in, we had terrible drainage and erosion issues, and nearly the entire backyard was unusable throughout our first summer. Several landscape professionals offered solutions, but none seemed to address comprehensively the many problems the property had. Thomas and All Type came in, explained very thoroughly what they planned to do, installed drainage throughout the yard, graded the property, and built a solid and attractive retaining wall to give us the most usable land possible. When our Homeowners' Association requested a more detailed explanation of the work before they would allow it to continue, Thomas provided it without missing a beat. He was always courteous and professional, even when we were not being the easiest of clients, and went above and beyond in all aspects of the job to give us the best possible result. I would recommend Thomas and All Type highly. They are extremely experienced and knowledgeable in a difficult field. We look forward to enjoying our yard for years to come, thanks to All Type.

$4,800.00 Description Of Work: Built a Japanese-style patio area with a torii gate, plus landscaping. Member Comments: What fun to work with Tom Sigler and his crew from All Type Landscape. My husband and I wanted some privacy in our flat, boring subdivision backyard. But we didn’t want to do a privacy fence which would entail a survey, high costs and a view of the back side of the fence (since wooden privacy fences are set with the “good" side facing out). And if we’d gone that route, we’d still have a flat, boring yard within the fenced area. Instead, we opted for something a little different and Tom was gung-ho to help with ideas and last-minute changes, etc. We decided we wanted to put up three 5' x 6' cedar panels (two in front and one back about six feet) with a torii gate between the front two panels. This is like one might see at a Shinto shrine. This created a meditative area with a flagstone base, large boulders, Japanese maples and Japanese forest grass. We centered it near the back property line but not on it. (We can still mow around the area.) And the gate through which you walk leads back into a private area. So now we have more privacy AND a beautiful focal point for the yard. When we told Tom what we wanted to do, he got so excited that he spent some time doing research on torii gates and Japanese design on his own time. We are overjoyed at the result.
