Meystel REIT s a public limited company, which operates exclusively in the property sector and is considered as commercial real estate specialist firm The Chicago-based Meystel invests sustainable assets in commercial real estate in Chicago and the local area. In addition to the activities of warehousing and distribution of goods, Meystel also covers their administration and production. The asset class consists mainly of medium to large industrial and commercial park areas. The areas are usually more complex than pure logistics real estate and have a high local relevance. The company was founded in Skokie under the name Meystel Inc in November 2006. By renaming in 2017, the company was converted into Meystel. By the end of 2017, the IPO was held on the Chicago Stock Exchange. Since the beginning of the year 2018, the company has been granted the status of a REIT ("real estate investment trust") with the associated income tax exemption and has since been called Meystel REIT. The goal of the Meystel as a REIT company is acquisition and management of an attractive light industrial real estate portfolio whose locations are primarily characterized by infrastructure-related, well-connected transport connections in mature commercial or industrial areas with a local relevance.
