Advocacy Group. We advocate on health care, social security, environment, welfare and affordable housing. SOS Senior Council is an advocacy group for citizens regardless of age. We advocate on health care, social security,environment, welfare and affordable housing issues. Because of our advocacy we also offer a health care assistance called Capitol Care Health Plan. SOS Senior Council is entirely run by volunteers. It is committed to involving and educating senior and disabled citizens about issues that affect the quality of life for them and their families. The health plan helps with services covered by Medicare when provided by Meriter Hospital or University of Wisconsin Hospitals, their clinics and/or participating physicians. We provide a monthly news-letter and monthly educational meetings.
