I have been buying Schmidt bread for many years, lately I am being very disappointed with the 100% whole wheat bread. I bought a loaf on the 19th of Dec. the last sale date was 23ed of Dec. I went to fix toast this morning and the bread had already molded. This is the 24th of Dec. Also it doesn't seam to be as soft and fresh as it used to be. I'm thinking of going to a different brand. thanks for reading this. [email protected]

No I didn't have a good experience. For the second time I have had over half a loaf of seeded Schmidt Italian bread mold. This is May 4, 2017 and the best if used by date is May 5, 2017. In the past I have been able to use your bread two or three days after the date with no problem. What is the problem now. I have saved the wrapper if you would like any more information from it. I've been a long time customer and I feel compelled to write about a quality issue. First I think the double wrap idea is good to preserve freshness; however, I've noticed the Italian sliced white bread feels stale, just purchased a few loafs w/ an expiration date of 2/11/13, and the bread feels like it has passed it's sell by date. Even when I cut the sandwich, instead of cutting evenly, it broke apart, as though it was old. I realize decisions are made often to reduce costs to stay competitive, but if the quality suffers you will loose customers. I hope this isn't going out to your other customers, as it is intended to be used by your quality group as a customer comment. I didn't see a space for that, and I only wanted to voice my opinion about recent purchases, not harm your good name. My e-mail is [email protected]
