Hello, I applaud the sugar industry for the jobs and economic benefit to Belize. I see that American Sugar Refining Inc is the majority shareholder. Another major economic contributr to the Belize economy is tourism. While on a tour today on the New River near Orangewalk I witnessed countless dead and dying fish in the river as a result of pollution from the sugar mill. We experienced "high tide" today and unfortunately for the fish the mill effluent ran up the river rather than out to sea. Please use some of your profits to upgrade the mill and reduce/eliminate this unnecessary pollution and habitat destruction. Belize is beautiful country and we all need to look after it, Belizeans, tourists AND Industry. Thanks, I look forward to your improvements.
