It is my opinion that this man is dishonest, unfair, condecending, and chauvinistic. It sickened me to be paying $500 for, in my opinion, a poor effort in conducting an appraisal for my refinance. I am looking for a resolution to my problems and found that this is how you can take back some control over this process. They have the ability to pass up a request to conduct an appraisal, and you have the right to refuse them access to your home. I will never let anyone disrespect me in my own home, let alone someone who I am paying $500. John's reputation around town is that he is taking it upon himself to drive down the cost of homes in Laramie. While this is a rumor, I have had my own experience that supports this. Your risks of losing out on an opportunity to refinance, setting a really low bar on your home's value history, lose out on a loan to buy a new home, and be insulted by condecending, pompous behavior could be avoid. I am looking into making a formal complaint, I just don't know how yet. But believe me, I will.
