While I like the store's selection of aquarium products particularly fish, I was very surprised that there were no air compressor available when we purchased some fish. I understand that we are the only state where Pet Smart are located that do not have this convenience available. To me it tells me that this is a second class operation or management is biased towards Hawaii. The air compressor obviously affords purchasers of live fish the flexibilty and better health for the fish. It makes the customer have to go home quickly rather than do other shopping which is very inconvenient. I had to return one dead fish and I could not help wonder if the dead fish's health was compromised because of the lack of oxygen. We immediately went home after we purchsed several fish and one died after 3 days. I exchanged it but it was inconvenient. Whoever made the decision to not have an air compressor is short sighted because there are a lot of pet shops in Hawaii (local and mainland). I hope this practice will cease. Otherwise, the people working there were nice and helpful.
