I started-out being impressed with the staff and operation here. They were respectful and helpful. Then I detected a significant overcharge on the invoice, which with some complaining, they partially resolved. Now, nearly a full year later, I find that the mausoleum headstone inscription that was supposed to be part of the package they sold my mother has never been completed. I live 5000 miles away and can't even get them to return my phone call. Taking advantage of people when they are at their emotional worst is smarmy at best. Stay away from Newkirk. Their service and reputation have disintegrated.
