Rose Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. began operations in November of 1962. The company founders, Bud Rose and Sonny Mack started the company with not much more than experience, some tools, two trucks and a firm concept of what quality and customer service were all about. Rose and Mack Heating and Air Conditioning soon became a leader in residential heating and air conditioning installations and service. After a few years of successful operation, Bud bought Sonny's share of the business and began operation as sole owner. The success and growth of the business continued. From the very beginning Bud had involved his children, particularly the oldest, Rick, in the day-to-day operations of the business. Rick began working after school (sixth grade) sweeping up the shop. As Rick got older, Bud began to teach him in all the aspects of the business: service work; sheet metal fabrication; equipment and duct sizing; duct system design; and, most especially, customer service. In 1983, after a short battle with cancer, Bud passed away and leadership of the company was passed on to Rick. Continuing the family tradition, Rick brought his son, Travis, into the family business. Travis began working after school (sixth grade) cleaning the offices. As Travis got older, Rick began to teach him in all the aspects of the business: service work; sheet metal fabrication; equipment and duct sizing; duct system design; and, most especially, customer service. In 2014, after providing over 20 years of service to the company, we have proudly named Travis as the President of Rose Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. As Travis gladly accepts the tasks that lie ahead of him, he not only has great confidence in himself to accomplish those tasks, but also in the many faithful employees of Rose Heating and Air Conditioning that have helped to grow the business into what it has become today. It is with great pride that we look back on over one-half century of service to thousands of home-owners and contractors in East Central Illinois. Looking ahead Rose Heating and Air Conditioning proudly faces the challenges of the next 50 years as "the company you can be comfortable with".
