Currently, a study on bedsore treatment is in it's fourth year of a five year study, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on 160 outpatients.
The study is being conducted jointly by a large National Rehabilitation Center in southern California and a large southern California university.
80 of the outpatients are on the Volkner Turning Mattress and the control group of 60 have none.
